When it comes to testing and reporting on the quality and microbiological makeup of our municipal water supplies, we provide services to three of Hawke's Bay's councils. We also test collected drinking water samples from small rural community communities and private bores or water tanks on farms and lifestyle blocks.

Municipal Water Supply Testing

At WTHB we provide three of Hawke's Bay's four territorial councils with certainty when it comes to testing and reporting on the quality and microbiological makeup of municipal water supplies. In turn, this provides peace-of-mind to ratepayers and the wider public, and is extremely important work as WTHB is in a critical role of responsibility with the public’s health and safety in our hands.

Regimented & Scheduled Testing

Water sampling taps installed by the councils at various points along their reticulated supply networks are used to collect samples for testing in our laboratory. The results and analysis are then reported back to council for ongoing monitoring. This is important work and we are proud to be the most trusted and reliable provider of such water testing services in Hawke's Bay.

Other Drinking Water Supplies

We also test drinking water samples from other sources such as small rainfall catchments, rooftops, and private bores mostly on farms and lifestyle blocks in rural communities. Just as certainty and peace-of-mind is paramount for municipal water networks, accurate testing and delivery of results for rural drinking water is critical for remote communities' health and safety.

However, it is up to our clients to decide what to do with these findings as the reporting of opinion and interpretation is outside of the scope of our IANZ accreditation . We are able to refer clients onto consultants for advice and solutions but we do not offer those services ourselves.
